It’s been an exciting year at this year’s Wimbeldon games. Both tennis stars and celebrities showed up with their best A-game on and off the court. In recent years, fashion’s obsession with tennis has reached new heights, and this time of the year brings me lots of joy to see two of my passions collide. Let’s take a look at this year’s best-dressed and trends from Center Court.
1. Olivia Rodrigo: The pop star wore a red gingham Ralph Lauren shirt‑dress, complete with a red suede purse and slim shades. Gingham is a strong trend right now, and she owned it with this look. The red and white colors are a cheeky nod to the championships’ strawberries and cream snack.
2. Poppy Delevigne: Next, we have another Ralph Lauren look by Poppy Delevigne. The socialite wore a utilitarian jacket and white wide-leg trousers. Her crisp look was practical for the summer heat, and pairing it with a cream-colored jacket tied at the waist balances the wide-leg silhouette.
3. Olivia Dean: The singer-songwriter wore one of my favorite color this season: Butter yellow. Her dress from AYM Studio brought warmth and sophistication to Center Court. You seriously can’t go wrong with this color and adds a bright detail to any wardrobe.
4. Monica Barbaro and Andrew Garfield: The couple hard launched their relationsip at Wimbeldon wearing all-white Ralph Lauren ensembles. Monica kept it classic in a silk satin slip dress and Andrew paired a white shirt and cable knit sweater stylishly tied around the shoulders, very preppy move.
5. Lily Collins: Last, but not least, we have the adorable Lily Collins. The Emily in Paris star looked so prim in a breezy Stella Jean blue-and-white striped look. The dress had embroidered hummingbirds on the bodice and Lily paired it paired with metallic Alaïa flats.
To summarize the trends, gingham print, pastel blues, and butter yellow led the color palette this season. Preppy stripes, tailoring and structured garments held court, offering elegance and polish in the summer sun. When in doubt, a white look always works.
